This company has been 10 years in the making ever since I discovered there was such a job as a Professional Organizer. Who knew my weird kid tendencies to organize and categorize the candy aisle (as opposed to eating it) at the grocery store meant I was destined for the field of professional organization. I feel I connect best with my clients because I am my own best customer! I am constantly purging, organizing and trying to become as efficient as possible in every aspect of my life.
After visiting The Container Store at the age of 14, I knew I found my home away from home. I was helping a friend’s mom organize her house (because that’s what the cool kids were doing) and realized I really had a knack for it! My gift of music led me to be a Piano Teacher of my own studio in high school and through college so the entrepreneurial spirit was always with me. College kept me busy as I studied Spanish Literature and Business at The University of Texas. Upon graduating, I figured with a student loan, I needed a more steady income so off to Corporate America I went. Spending 8 years in Marketing and Sales at a large company (hint: they make huge yellow industrial equipment) was time well spent. Learning how to work with all types of personalities, facing challenges that scared me and becoming the best sales professional in my field all prepared me for starting my own company. I may also stalk any company who carries containers so I definitely know where to find the best stuff.
The first two years in business have flown by! I have learned so much and met some amazing people. I can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store!
